Jo's Story

Jo Matthews was at a crossroads in her life. She could go back to work in a legal firm, or, she could start her own business and work from home. It was an easy decision. A mother to two young children, Emily, now six and Will, now three, Jo wanted to be there for her kids – all the time. However, she also wanted to set herself a new challenge, redefine her career and get back into the ‘adult world’. So Sweetly Spoilt was born. As a mum, Jo knows that much of her time, money and energy is put into spoiling her children. And like all mums and women, she tends to feel guilty about spending money on herself. But Jo also knows that mums and women need to be pampered from time to time. They need to feel special. They need to feel spoilt.

And Sweetly Spoilt is exactly where that can happen. Jo wanted to establish an online business focusing in jewellery, pretty things and gifts, where busy mums could splurge and treat themselves to something beautiful. Or, where others could find the perfect gift to show the women in their lives just how special they are. Sweetly Spoilt is Jo’s third child. It’s the one that shows other women that they deserve to be pampered and it’s the one that’s empowered her to be the mum she wants to be. Jo lives in Sydney, with husband Scott, and her two children Emily and Will. Her days are still a juggling act of spending time with the family and working from home, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
